Vice-President
It has always been a great honour and privilege to play an active role at this exclusive elite group. I enjoyed every single opportunity interacting with past/current/future like-minded GK members, whose GK-typified passion and spirit still serve as a driving motivating for me to work hard and rekindle the hidden side of my potential and ability. My relationship with MGK goes back a long way. Organising the 2011 Reception Ceremony is definitely the highlight of my involvement. In addition, being elected to the 2012 upper executive committee and fulfilling the role of vice presidency smells as sweat. Looking back, the journey I have been through is more than a right to act, but it is indeed a privilege to witness the occurrence of all our amazing events. |

Treasurer
Joining Golden Key gave me the opportunity to meet and network with passionate young people which is mind opening. It also helps me in developing a professional working style which is a valuable skill for employability.
Being the Treasurer taught me more of the number world than what can be learned from books. How real figures in a real society should be dealt with. It made me understand communication and motivation would lead to a solution no matter what the dead end is (eg. having a loss in the annual budget or continuously looking after a tight budget).

Secretary
I joined Golden Key because I wanted to be part of a community-focused body that contributes back to the university and the broader community by running events such as the Race Against Depression. The three pillars of Academics, Leadership and Service are paramount to the daily functioning of the society and the opportunities for those who want to contribute are virtually endless.
As a relatively new member of the Executive Committee, the highlight has been working with an amazing group of people who are approachable and always willing to lend a helping hand. Being part of a team of motivated and hard working individuals has been an invaluable learning experience for me and I'd encourage any new members to take the opportunity to get involved as well.

Careers Officer
...
To embrace every moment I have as a university student by making the most of it. I also perceived Golden Key as a steppingstone to enhancing both my personal and professional development. We, after all have only got a few more years left as students before stepping out into the inevitably complex yet challenging working society. Having the opportunity to take up the role as one of the Careers Officer is certainly by far my greatest learning experience I’ve had during my journey with Golden Key. Not only have I acquired an immense amount of skills and knowledge, my fellow co-officer and I were also fortunate enough to communicate and liaise with representatives from some of the top leading-edged companies through both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication.
Working along and being acquainted with talented and passionate students have also been two of the many things I am grateful for after joining Golden Key. Each of them has truly inspired and motivated me in so many ways! |

Corresponding Secretary
...
I joined Golden Key because it has recognised my academic achievements. I loved the idea of being the top 15% in my faculty and having something tangible (certificate) to prove it. Although it was great feeling, I later realised that Golden Key was more than just that. As I attended the meetings and events, I had the opportunity to meet friendly people from all different faculties and also members from other countries(during the Asia Pacific Conference). There were always ways to contribute (e.g. volunteering) and give back (e.g. fundraising) to the community. To represent Monash Golden Key in the Victorian Steering Committee and taking on the responsibility of coordinating an Amazing Race for 150 participants at the Asia Pacific Conference (APC) 2012. It was a fantastic experience especially when everyone in the committee was just as dedicated and hard working. Although it was a minor part of the APC, I felt proud of myself since I was able to achieve something rather than talking about it. |
